Poor fella.
Some hawkers don’t even try. Although the sign on our office building door clearly says ‘Hawkers by appointment only’, they come and try to sell us things unannounced anyway. This one fellow came in today, and said that he’s from the local cinema. He asked if I usually go to that cinema, and I said no, because I live closer to another one. He replied “Okay, that means I can’t bribe you then!”, laughed, and left. He didn’t even tell me about how his cinema is half the price of any other cinema (which it is), or try to sell it in any way. Just left. I love his cinema, and go to it when I’m up for a bit of a journey to the other side of the city, but obviously wouldn’t admit that to him. Not that I had a chance to! He just left. I hope he’s not paid on commission. He’s really not very good. I feel sorry for the guy.
